Stephen Dilts – New York Office Leader, Senior Vice President, HNTB

Stephen Dilts is HNTB’s New York Office Leader and is responsible for the firm’s 325-person office located in the Empire State Building. He has more than 15 years of local, state and federal experience in the transportation industry as an appointed and elected official and private sector consultant handling a broad and diverse range of executive oversight and management, strategic planning, asset management, program delivery, policy, intergovernmental and operational issues.

Steve has served 10 years in public office, including terms as Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Chairman and Deputy Executive Director of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, Chairman of New Jersey Transit, and Mayor and Council President of Hampton Borough.

Currently, HNTB is involved in many high-profile infrastructure programs throughout Pennsylvania, including multiple highway and bridge projects for PennDOT, Southeast Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Delaware River Port Authority, in addition to Keystone Corridor rail-line improvements on behalf of Amtrak and PennDOT, among many others.
