The Traffic Club of Philadelphia was founded in 1908. Its membership is comprised of representatives from industry, railroad, motor carriers, freight forwarders, airlines, steamship lines and warehouses.

THE PURPOSE:
To quote from the Traffic Club's Constitution: "The purpose of the Club shall be to promote the interests of the transportation industry" - "to conduct under its auspices educational programs in the field of transportation"- "and to promote the transportation industry for the benefit of the national welfare".

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS:
We offer scholarship aid to schools of higher learning for those qualifying applicants. More info...

PLACEMENT SERVICES:
We maintain an active service, advising qualified applicants of job opportunities available in the transportation field. The success of this venture is due in no small measure to the input of our members who represent every phase of the transportation field.

MEETINGS:
Dinner meetings are held six times a year.

OUTINGS:
For the serious golfer, as well as the occasional weekender, we hold a number
of golf events each year at the outstanding courses in the area.

GOVERNING BODY:
The affairs of the Traffic Club are controlled by a group of officers and a Board of Governors elected annually. This governing body has representation from each category of membership in the club. More info...

INITIATION AND MEMBERSHIP:
There is an Initiation Fee of $20.00 and Annual Dues are $75.00 for active members.
